Description:

Atrosan is made from extracts of Devil's Claw, sustainably cultivated with a conscience in the Kalahari Desert.

Atrosan Devil’s Claw tablets is a traditional herbal medicinal product used for the relief of backache, rheumatic or muscular pain, and general aches and pains in the muscles and joints, exclusively based upon long-standing use as a traditional remedy.

How it works:

Devil’s Claw contains a group of components known as iridoids which possess anti-inflammatory, antirheumatic and pain killing properties. The anti-inflammatory action has been shown to be equivalent to that of steroids, but the plant itself does not seem to contain steroids, which may be why it does not have the side effects associated with steroid use.

Ingredients:

1 film-coated tablet contains 480 mg of extract (as dry extract) from Devil’s claw root (Harpagophytum procumbens D.C. and/or H. zeyheri L. Decne.) (1.5-3.0:1). Extraction solvent: Ethanol 60% V/V. The other ingredients used for the tablet are lactose, maize starch, microcrystalline cellulose, precipitated silica, colloidal silica and magnesium stearate (vegetable source). The tablet coating contains talc, titanium dioxide, macrogol and hypromellose.

Directions for use:

Adults and the elderly: Take one tablet twice daily immediately after food. The dose can be increased to two tablets twice daily if relief is not obtained after 3 to 5 days.

Not for use in children or those under 18.
For oral use only. Read leaflet before use.
Do not use if you are allergic to Devil’s claw or any of the other ingredients. This product contains lactose.

Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Store in a cool dry place.

Do not use when pregnant or breastfeeding unless under the supervision of a Healthcare Professional.
Do not use for children under two years of age unless under the supervision of a Healthcare Professional.
Do not exceed stated doses.
Do not use alongside medication with the same action, e.g. a tranquillising herb alongside tranquillising medication.
Do not take more than three herbal remedies concurrently.
